Think big. Houston is deep with talent and they share. When I see Howard and Donatas Motiejunas on the court together, I think of when Steve Kerr said he could play Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli on the court together.

Ezeli seems to be making the case for himself these days, jumping in on a coach Kerr post-practice interview, jokingly admitting it was about playing time.

Jones will not be back from a bruised right leg and Draymond Green will probably be matched up against the Lithuanian “D-Mo” in the starting lineup. Attack D-Mo off the dribble, he’s gotten a little quicker since we’ve seen him last but is still slow and lumbering laterally.

Klay Thompson should be given the green light to go toe to toe with Harden. Unless, of course, he crushes him in this one. Harden, by my count didn’t pass the ball to Klay during World Cup play. This ladies and gents is flat out a marquee match-up… no worries, Klay’s got him.

Howard really likes to shuffle his feet. To bad for him, this isn’t dancing it’s basketball. Bogut can outscore him if they call all the moon walks. A little side line triangle at key points early in the first and third quarter could get Howard in foul trouble. Marreese Speights, if playing center, can take Howard away from the basket or just launch wide open 19-footers.

Pass, cut, pass back when being defended by Howard or Harden who take turns guarding the free throw line to counter early offense respectively. The reason being, neither of them are multiple effort defenders.

Trevor Ariza is hot right now. He’s hoisting three’s and mixing in the occasional layup. Run Trevor off the three point line if your guarding him, and get back and defend that rim because there’s no such thing as a mid range game to him.
