I like Richard Sherman and am not ashamed to say so.
Sherman is an annoying player, especially to defeated opponents. Winning with grace is not his style. Neither does he tolerate baited questions intended to manufacture controversy in front of the Super Bowl. I do like that about Sherman.
Sherman and Darrelle Revis are the two best cornerbacks in the NFL right now. It is as much a feature of Seahawks vs. Patriots as the match of Russell Wilson and Tom Brady. Quarterbacks Wilson and Brady will give diplomatic answers to insipid “Who’s the best” questions. Sherman said what we all thought of a dumb question and of the reporter who asked it.
Boom!
That’s a better sound bite than the reporter deserved.
