The Naismith Award top 30 list was released today. It corrected a lot of the wrongs left by the Wooden list. Mainly because Sean Kilpatrick was on it. And Xavier Thames. And Nik Stauskas. But for the purposes of this blog, mainly Sean Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick is averaging 19.8 points, 32nd in the country, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals. He's been the top scorer in the American as well as one of the most crucial players with a near 30% usage rate. Only Russ Smith, another name on the list, and Isaiah Sykes of UCF rank above Kilpatrick. Shooting wise, Kilpatrick is one of the top free throw shooters in the league at 85.7%. He's in the top 7 in minutes. Pretty much speaking, Sean Kilpatrick does it all. It's great to see him honored by someone.
Great work, Sean Kilpatrick.
