When last I wrote and you read, Team USA had dropped back to back games to Australia and Canada. They ended up in the bracket to play for 9th place. And play for 9th place they will. Team USA put a 91-51 whoopin' on Norway and a 92-70 ass kicking on Germany. Will Sheehey and Doug McDermott were the leading scorers for Team USA in those games. The tournament ends tomorrow with Team USA taking on Finland. Expect the typical Bearcats Blog coverage.
Sean Kilpatrick was having a rough go in the Team USA losses. He bounced back in the wins. Against Norway, he was 2-5 from 3, 0-2 from 2, for 6 points. He had 3 assists and 2 turnovers to go with a steal in 16 minutes. Yesterday against the Germans, he went 3-6, 1-4 from 3, 1-1 from the line, for 8 points. He added 1 assist against 2 turnovers and another steal in 18 minutes. The injury to Treveon Graham didn't add to his minute total.
For the tournament, SK is 18-58, 31% overall, 11-37, 29.8% from 3, and 6-7 at the foul line. He's scored 53 points with 14 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals and 1 block.
