Everyone has seen the way the Packers-Seahawks game ended by now. If not:

Generally speaking, jump balls like that, the tie usually goes to the offensive player, but I think most people would agree that this wasn’t a tie. It went through the review process and still came up as a touchdown for the Seahawks. The game was literally decided by the referees, and almost everyone thinks that they decided wrongly. The Seahawks benefited from the replacement referees that have to play because the regular officials are locked out.
Elsewhere in Seattle sports news, members of the Edmonton Oilers ownership group stopped by to check out Key Arena. The Oilers are one of the struggling franchises that have led to a lockout in that league. Perhaps it’s a ploy to show how desperate times are for NHLs small market owners and gain some leverage in their lockout, or perhaps they really want to relocate in the wake of a botched arena deal. Either way, it appears that, especially today, labor strife had provided quite the windfall for Seattle.
