The Chicago Cubs recently revealed a new mascot for the upcoming season (and beyond). More than two thousand miles away, the Seattle Mariners are looking for one.
Kind of.
No, the Mariners aren't looking to replace their popular Moose, but, rather, they're looking for someone to don the costume and cheer on the team. Here's the actual job posting.
Interestingly enough, there's nothing mentioned about being able to stay upright and avoiding walls while being pulled behind an ATV while wearing inline skates. You recall the terrifying (terrifying?) incident during the 1995 American League Division Series when the Mariner Moose broke his ankle crashing into the outfield wall, right? Thankfully, doctors were able to repair the guy's leg with a six-inch steel plate and six screws.
Ouch.
