SEC Football: Week six predictions

thomasbarrelroll

This is one of the biggest weeks in SEC football that we’ve seen as we will see three SEC West match-ups that feature Top 25 vs Top 25.

Florida (2-1, 1-1) at Tennessee (2-2, 0-1), Noon, SEC Network

Line: Tennessee by 2.5

As long as Justin Worley stays upright and healthy, I think this is the game where the Vols break through.

Prediction: Tennessee 28 Florida 23

#6 Texas A&M (5-0, 2-0) at #12 Mississippi State (4-0, 1-0), Noon, ESPN

Line: Mississippi State by 2.5

My gut tells me Mississippi State but it’s tough to bet against the Aggies so I will go Bulldogs but take the Aggies with the points.

Prediction: Mississippi State 35 Texas A&M 34

#3 Alabama (4-0, 1-0) at #11 Ole Miss (4-0, 1-0), 3:30 PM EST, CBS

Line: Bama by 4.5

Ole Miss is going to be very hyped for this game but will it be too hyped. I think one of the Mississippi teams wins this weekend and one loses.

Prediction: Alabama 31 Ole Miss 21

Vanderbilt (1-4, 0-3) at #13 Georgia (3-1, 1-1), 4 PM, SEC Network

Line: Georgia by 33.5

I like Georgia in this game but that’s a lot of points to cover.

Prediction: Georgia 49 Vanderbilt 17

#15 LSU (4-1, 0-1) at #5 Auburn (4-0, 1-0), 7 PM, ESPN

Line: Auburn by 7.5

LSU is coming off of a tough loss to Mississippi State two weeks ago and they are in a must win situation but I think Auburn gets it done at home.

Prediction: Auburn 35 LSU 24

South Carolina (3-2, 2-2) at Kentucky (3-1, 1-1), 7:30 PM, SEC Network

Line: South Carolina by 3.5

This is a tough spot for South Carolina coming off a big loss and facing a Kentucky team that is much improved. I think the Gamecocks cover late.

Prediction: South Carolina 31 Kentucky 24
