Texas A&M at South Carolina
6 PM, SEC Network
Line: Gamecocks by 10.5
South Carolina not only will learn about life after Jadeveon Clowney, but more importantly they must replace Connor Shaw. Dylan Thompson has seen action over the last two years but now it’s time for him to take center stage. The Gamecocks have a good set of weapons to help out Thompson including Mike Davis and a trio of talented wide outs. Outside of replacing Shaw, talent along the d-line and a couple of secondary holes there is not a lot to dislike about the Gamecocks.
The Aggies have been very explosive under Kevin Sumlin but the defense has not come around and now they have to replace Manziel. It’s possible the Aggies could win this but I think the Gamecocks will outlast the Aggies and pull away in the second half.

Boise State vs Ole Miss (Atlanta, Ga)
8 PM, ESPN
Line: Ole Miss by 10.5
This is not the same Boise State team that came into Atlanta and beat Georgia. That team was veteran laden, had a ton of talent at the skill positions and was rough and tumble along the lines of scrimmage. This team is a team that went 8-5 last season and also lost coach Chris Petersen this off-season. The Broncos aren’t bad but Ole Miss should be able to handle them with the talent roster that Huge Freeze has built up.

Temple at Vanderbilt

Line: Vandy by 13.5
Temple only won two games last season. I expect the Derek Mason era at Vanderbilt to get off to a good start.
