Seething..

So this morning and into the afternoon my phone was blowing up. Twitter was going crazy. Then just now my world has come crashing down.

Frist off the good news… Gretzky has resigned as head coach for the Coyotes. In his place, Dave Tippett was hired. He is the former Dallas Stars coach who took them to the playoffs year after year. I haven’t been able to read many of the articles but I am trying to figure out what happens to Ulf and Sulliman. Sulliman seems to be out a job with the Tippett and King hiring. Sully is Maloney’s bro-in-law and just came on last season. If i cared more, I would go look into this more. I hope Ulf gets to stay on. I really liked what he was doing with the boys so far this season.

That was the two big events that rocked the Coyotes world today. I am quite happy with this aspect as I think the coaching staff needed to be shaken up. I just wish that they could have done it earlier this year so they would have been already working with the boys all pre-season.

The really bad news that I just got? Al Montoya has been sent down to San Antonio. That means we are freaking left with Bryz and LaBarbera. OMG, LaBarbera? Are you serious? Whose decision was this? They are so fired. I cannot express how annoyed I am with this right now. I just hope for the forwards and D-men that they don’t suck at the same time. Hopefully having Burke working with them will make them better than when Fuhr was in there. *crosses fingers* I’m banking all my hope on you Burke. Can you handle this??

Also sent down were Jeff Hoggan, Shaun Heshka, Joel Perrault (awwwww we will miss you JP) and Dave Spina. Really? You cut Spina over MacLean? Does MacLean bring a large group that fills two sections? Spina stood out to me much more than MacLean. Grrrrrrrrrrr

This was a sad ending to a glorious day otherwise. Yay for new coaching staff, boo to cutting Al.
