My week kind of got away from me, so no time for a full blown preview. We are going to make this one a quickie.

LAST TIME ON ANGELS VS. RANGERS…
The Angels swept the Rangers because the Rangers are just the worst.

GHOST OF ANGELS PAST
The Angels ain’t afraid of no ghosts because the Rangers don’t have none. Interim manager Tim Bogar managed for the Angels at Double-A for a year, that’s as good as it gets.

MATCH-UP MASTERY
FRIDAY, 9/19: Hector Santiago vs. Lisalverto Bonilla
I don’t know what a Lisalverto Bonilla is, but I’m pretty sure the Angels can hit it. This might be Santiago’s last best chance to find out what the seventh inning looks like.

SATURDAY, 9/20Jered Weaver vs. Colby Lewis
Weaver got his extra rest thanks to the rotation juggling. Let’s see if that means he can hold that uptick in velocity he showed off in his last start. I think it was probably a fluke, but if he can pull the rabbit out of the hat twice in a row, then he really might be on to something.

SUNDAY, 9/21Cory Rasmus vs. Nick Tepesch
The only real intrigue in this match-up is if Scioscia can stretch out Rasmus a little bit. He failed to do so in his last start despite having favorable circumstances. Honestly, even if Rasmus gets shelled, Scioscia should look to push him to 60 pitches.

OFFICIAL PREDICTION
Break out the brooms. Another sweep is a comin’ even though the Angels figure to rotate some reserves into the lineup with some regularity.

UNOFFICIAL PREDICTION (so don’t hold me to it)
There will will be no Angels fans cheering for the Rangers like they were the night the Angels needed Texas to comeback on Oakland to win. You can hold me to this unofficial prediction.
