The Brewers return home for a quick four games against the Washington Nationals before heading back out on the road; the Brewers went 2-2 at D.C. earlier this season, and were 4-2 against the Nationals in ’07.
Pitching Probables:
Friday, August 8, 7:05 p.m. CT: RHP Colin Balester (2-3, 4.55) vs. LHP CC Sabathia (11-8, 3.28)
Saturday, August 9, 6:05 p.m. CT: RHP Tim Redding (8-6, 4.44) vs. RHP Ben Sheets (10-5, 3.14)
Sunday, August 10, 1:05 p.m. CT: LHP John Lannan (6-11, 3.55) vs. LHP Manny Parra (9-5, 4.18)
Monday, August 11, 1:05 p.m. CT: RHP Garrett Mock (0-2, 5.27) vs. RHP Dave Bush (6-9, 4.50)
Things to look for:
1. The Crew tagged Redding for 5 ER’s in 5 2/3rds IP back in May…can they do it again?
2. The Crew has never faced Balester or Mock…can the Brewers’ bats figure out these guys early?
3. The Nationals are 21-38 on the road this year…but 2 of those road wins came Thursday in Colorado against the Rockies…is Washington on a roll right now…and, if so, can the Crew put an end to their winning streak?
