Seth Curry did what he had to do. He decided to decline his $1 million player option for the 2016-17 season and become a restricted free agent in July.
He understands that shooting is at a premium right now and he knows a team in need of perimeter shooting will throw some good money at him especially with the salary cap skyrocketing. Curry shot an impressive 45.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Curry is only 25 years old and finished the season strong by averaging 16.4 points per game and 5.3 dimes in his final seven games. He had a rough final game against the Rockets but who wouldn’t have? Only eight players dressed and he was the only player with above average ball-handling skills.

What will the Kings do? July will be very interesting.
