Oehser checks in with seven observations. This is another excellent piece on the Examiner. My favorite:
2) LB Clint Session is a key player to the Colts’ defense. He moved from strong-side to weak-side linebacker this season, and in the Colts’ defense, that’s the player expected to be the team’s leading tackler. Session is in his second season as a starter and needs to be more consistent in that spot. He’s capable of doing so and that will be a key area to watch in the coming days and weeks.
No player on the team made bigger strides last year than Session. Early in 2008 he looked lost, even Gardner-esque. By the end, he did what old Gilbert never could. He learned to maintain his gaps while still delivering HUGE hits. He has the best chance of making the leap to Pro Bowl caliber play like other Colts backers before him. Great call by Oehser.
