Shaq Washington Hits Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Continuing the trend of Bearcats named to watch lists, another has been recognized for his play and projected future performance. The Biletnikoff Award put out it’s watch list today and Shaq Washington is on it. Washington had an amazing season a year ago where he caught 78 passes. Washington put up 783 yards and caught a touchdown. He also threw for a touchdown.

Washington’s 78 receptions were the 5th most in the history of Cincinnati football. He’s the first UC receiver to be named to this list in a number of years. Since I’ve been writing this site, which has been since before the 2010 season but seems so much longer. Or it seems so much shorter. I’m not really sure.

It doesn’t seem like as many Bearcats are getting watch list nods, what with Greg Blair trying a pro career and not popping up on half of them, but the Bearcats who have been hitting the watch lists have more than earned it. Washington is no exception. Here’s hoping that he can make the midseason watch list and the final watch list as well.
