In this week’s edition of “Share Your Seminole Story”, we asked our readers which player impressed them most during last Saturday’s Florida State spring game.
From the Staff
Last Saturday’s FSU spring game was certainly exciting and the story was most definitely the play of the incoming freshmen. Jacques Patrick, George Campbell and Derwin James all shined, but the player I was most impressed with was the guy lining up under center.
Quarterback De’Andre Johnson looked a veteran running Jimbo Fisher’s offense. Granted he was playing against a lot of non-starters, but 8-for-11 passing for 155 yards and two touchdowns is impressive regardless of who is on the other side of the ball. Johnson would have also scored a rushing touchdown if it were full-contact against quarterbacks.
My money still isn’t on Johnson starting, but boy, was he fun to watch on Saturday. Quarterback play doesn’t look as though it’s going to be an issue for the Seminoles for a long time.

@Noled_Out Patrick. He's an instant impact player, even with a potential AA in the same backfield.
