Junior Middleweight Bout: John Molina Jr. (28-6) vs. Ruslan Provodnikov (25-4)
Luke: Provodnikov moves up to 154 to activate SUPER PUNCHING POWER MODE! Provodnikov via R7 TKO.
Nolan: Showtime setting up an action main event here to make up for the mismatches on the rest of the card. Provodnikov is clearly the more tested and skilled fighter here, but he can also put himself in unnecessary trouble and Molina isn’t someone you want to try and test. Still, Provodnikov is just one another level and this was clearly some “fun” matchmaking to throw some action fighters in there and let ’em rip. Ruslan Provodnikov by ninth-round TKO.
Junior Middleweight Bout: Demetrius Andrade (22-0) vs. Willie Nelson (25-2-1)
Luke: Nelson is a game enough opponent, and a quality 154-er, but it’s time for Andrade to take that next step to be in the Charlo/Lara club. Andrade via R9 TKO.
Nolan: This is another fight with guys on two different tiers. Nelson sniffs the upper ranks of gatekeeper and lower ranks of contender often, but he can never seem to make that jump. He won’t here either against Andrade, who’s main sin has been inactivity. Demetrius Andrade by unanimous decision.
Interim WBC World Lightweight Championship: Dejan Zlaticanin (21-0) vs. Franklin Mamani (21-2-1)
Luke: Zlaticanin should knife through Mamani like a hot knife through butter here. Zlaticanin via R6 KO.
Nolan: Dejean Zlaticanin by fourth-round KO.
