Colts Pats rules the roost

In four of the past five, the Colts have been undefeated: 8-0 last season, 7-0 in ’05, ’06 and ’07. In ’07, the Patriots were 8-0, marking the first time in NFL history two unbeatens met so late in a season.

Since ’02, the Colts are a league-best 105-32, the Patriots 103-34. The Colts have reached the postseason in each of the past eight seasons with six division titles; the Patriots have been in the playoffs six times with six division titles.

And that Manning-Brady thing? Manning is the NFL’s only four-time MVP and a Super Bowl MVP. The Colts have appeared in two of the past four Super Bowls, beating the Chicago Bears after the ’06 season and losing to New Orleans in February. Brady has won one league MVP, two Super Bowl MVPs and taken the Patriots to four Super Bowls since ’01, winning three.
