Sixers Coaching Update

Dante Fowler

The Philadelphia 76ers still don’t have a coach. It’s July 31st, and the Sixers don’t have a coach. This is getting ridiculous. They do seem to be very interested in David Vanterpool, former Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach. He has done some remarkable things with Portland; he was a big part in the development of Damian Lillard. If he can develop young point guards and turn them into stars, then I am excited to see what he can do with Michael Carter-Williams.

The Sixers are also very much into their former assistant coach, Michael Curry. He was the head coach of the Sixers for 1 or 2 games, when Doug Collins was having medical issues. He has experience with the Sixers, so I am sure that gives him a bit of an advantage. Another possibility is former San Antonio Spurs assistant coach, Brett Brown. The Spurs are coming off an amazing season, so I’m sure that had helped him. The other possibility is Celtics assistant coach Jay Larranaga. I have heard that he is one of the top candidates, to be the Sixers new head coach.

To sum this up, the Sixers still don’t have a head coach, and should be finding one very soon.
