Jrue Holiday scored 14 points and dished out 12 dimes as the Philadelphia 76ers convincingly beat the New Orleans Hornets earlier tonight by a score of 77-62.
It was a horrible shooting night for both teams as the Sixers shot a dismal 42 percent from the field, while the Hornets only made 33 percent of their shot attempts.
The Sixers scored 36 points in the first half, but only trailed by one heading into halftime.
The Hornets surrendered 21 points in the 3rd, while the Sixers only gave up 10, giving them a 10-point lead (57 – 47) heading into the final quarter, where the Sixers cruised to a 15-point victory.
Thaddeus Young scored 12 points and grabbed 10 boards in the win.
Five Sixer players managed to score in double digits, despite the plethora of bricks they threw at the rim.
The Hornets leading scorer was Al-Farouq Aminu with 10 points.
The Sixers continue their road trip in Boston in a match up against Rajon Rondo and co. on Friday Nov. 9.
