The Sixers have officially signed Euroleague star point guard Sergio Rodriguez. His deal is worth $8 million for 1 year of service for the Sixers.
The 2014 Euroleage MVP helped bring his club, Real Madrid, to the 2015 championship. Rodriguez, a superstar in Spain and Europe, is a key catalyst for the Spanish national team, and has been a showtime point guard for Real Madrid for many years.
However, Rodriguez has played his fair share in the association. The 30-year-old played 4 seasons in the NBA–three for the Trail Blazers, and he split one season between the Kings and Knicks.
This was a solid pickup for the Sixers, and it’s nice knowing he will definitely be joining the team as his contract was made permanent today.
