Amir Johnson missed practice today because of a twisted ankle. Brad Stevens says he has a 50-50 chance of playing tomorrow vs Washington.

Marcus Smart also out today (sprained toe), but is improving. Stevens says if he keeps progressing, “there’s a chance he’ll play tomorrow.” — Boston Celtics (@celtics) November 5, 2015
Not great injury news for the Celtics. Smart being out triggers a weird domino effect that I don’t really like. And Johnson being out makes life much more difficult on Isaiah Thomas. If there’s no Smart OR Johnson, then I find it hard to believe the Celtics will start Thomas against the Wizards and all of their high-powered guards. The best chance may be to start Turner and hope he can use his size against Washington, or… Terry Rozier and hope beyond hope that he can hold his own. This is triggering a lot of changes… and maybe not the changes Isaiah Thomas was talking about today
Isaiah Thomas: “We’re not gonna panic, but at the same time, changes need to be made, and we need to as players take accountability.”

Panic after four games? Let’s not get crazy. Things aren’t quite going as smoothly as many of us thought they might, but there’s still more than enough time to mix up some of these lineups… or for some guys to pull out of their slumps.
I’m not sure if that accountability line is just a thing that athletes say… or if there’s some sort of issue. I’ll just chalk it up as the former, but let’s just keep some tabs on this for the future.
