SNAP, CRACKLE, POPS! Raps to sign Pops Mensah-Bonsu

It looks like Pops Mensah-Bonsu will sign with the Raps for the rest of the season.  The Whale Killer was released by the San Antonio Spurs after the Spurs’ announcement of the signing of Drew Gooden.  He played three games with the Spurs and this guy has some hops.  The former George Washington star averaged 26 pts, 13 boards and 2.5 blocks with the D-League’s Austin Toros.

Bonsu had an offer from the Oklahoma City Thunder as well but chose Toronto in a chance to get more minutes with the Raps.

“I think there might be more minutes at my position with the Raptors and they wanted me even before I came to San Antonio. So I decided I’m going to go to Toronto.”
