NEW YORK – SNY, the television home of the New York Mets, Jets and BIG EAST Conference – which recently announced a comprehensive, multi-year partnership making it the “official television home of the UConn Huskies football and men’s basketball programs” – released its in-depth, exclusive football coverage for the 2010 season on Tuesday. SNY kicked off its Huskies programming on Tuesday with UConn Press Pass, which features Head Coach Randy Edsall’s weekly press conference. UConn Press Pass will be shown on SNY each Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
SNY will also unveil its live UConn Football Preview Show on Friday, September 3 at 9:30 p.m. – prior to the Huskies first game on September 4 against Michigan. The show will feature an exclusive one-on-one interview – from Ann Arbor – with Randy Edsall, player reactions and an in-depth look at the upcoming season.
SNY’s live UConn football game coverage – which features approximately five games – will kick-off September 11 at noon when the Huskies take on Texas Southern. SNY will also air the following week’s UConn-Temple match-up live on September 18th at noon. All Huskies football games airing on SNY will be wrapped by in-depth pre-and post-game shows. September will also see the debut of Huskies Power Hour, in which UConn games will be re-broadcast and condensed to a one-hour show. The UConn vs. Texas Southern Huskies Power Hour will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 7:00 a.m. and the UConn-Temple Huskies Power Hour will air on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11:00 p.m.

Throughout the year, SNY will feature annually more than 300 hours of UConn programming – including 120 hours of Huskies game coverage.
SNY also announced that Comcast plans to expand coverage of SNY by September in the Middletown, Clinton, Groton, Norwich, Old Lyme and Vernon areas – making SNY available to all of its customers throughout Connecticut.
