So Who Is John Mitchell?

Today the Rangers acquired John Mitchell from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 7th round pick.

Mitchell, who is currently with Toronto’s AHL team and will be assigned to the CT Whale, has 2g, 1a in 23 games with the Maple Leafs this season and 20g 35a in 159 games. An interesting stat about Mitchell is that he has 3g, 2a in 4 games against the Rangers (thanks CraiginCanada).

Andrew Gross reports that Mitchell’s 2010-11 NHL salary/salary cap hit is $725,000.
