Some Arizona Fall League Video

I like following the prospects in the Arizona Fall League every year, but box scores don’t mean very much. While it’s nice to see Scooter Gennett rack up the hits in Arizona, not every pitcher he’s facing is a stud, and the process is more important than the results. That’s why I love it when I stumble across video from the AFL — you can actually see what’s happening and make your own assessments from there.

Today I ran across the YouTube channel for a blog called MLB Prospect Portal, which has individual videos for just about every prospect in the AFL you could think of. After the jump, you can check out the videos for Gennett, Tyler Thornburg, Cody Scarpetta, Kentrail Davis, and Zelous Wheeler.

I’m a geek for stuff like this. Hopefully this helps kill some time while we wait for the Hot Stove to heat up. The AFL’s Rising Stars game is on Saturday, and 2011 first-round pick Jed Bradley will be representing the Brewers. Tuesday night, he threw two scoreless innings, striking out Mike Trout (the top prospect in all of baseball) and getting Bryce Harper (everyone’s #2) to ground out to second.
