This is the banner that Rosenborg Ballklub has on their Facebook page, trying to get everyone in Trondheim to buy season tickets. It makes me hearken back to the days of Viking pillaging Europe. It’s a frightening visage, and I have to say, it doesn’t seem altogether welcoming for a club trying to sell tickets.
I know the guy on the left is Rosenborg midfielder Borak Dockal, but the guy in the middle? Demon. Kid on the right? Perhaps even scarier. He looks like a giant baby bent on ruining Trondheim. Why is everyone yelling? Everyone looks angry! I obviously can’t buy season tickets for next year, because the commute from here to Norway is a little rough, but I’m beginning to fear the consequences if I don’t. Midfielder? Demon? Giant baby?! Terrible. Apocalyptic.
Speaking of Norwegians and soccer, my other team, the Blackburn Rovers, have finally replaced the bleeding ulcer that was Steve Kean with a Norwegian and former Rovers defender named Henning Berg. So that’s super weird.
