I’m going to be honest with you. The only nominated movie I saw this year was Argo, and I thought it was tremendous. If people out there think there is a debate as to which movie was the best of the year, it was a good year for movies.
That’s exactly the boost the name “Oscar” needs. I mean, going into this year, the only other Oscar in the public consciousness was a Grouch. Now, well…. Significantly worse comparison.
So congratulations Oscars of the world, especially Oscars who have been associated with achievement despite having metallic legs. You now have another, more respectable luminary to look up to.
