Yesterday was a little bananas. First, you had the Ravens coming back on a team that had won 11 straight, and was playing at home with a former Super Bowl winner as their quarterback in Peyton Manning. Next, you had a guy who took over for the guy who led his team to the NFC Championship game leading his team back to that same game. There was no reason that Colin Kaepernick should have stolen the job from Alex Smith if you are a traditionalist, but if you have eyes, you know that the 49ers blew the doors off the Packers yesterday.
Today made a little more sense. The stable teams won. The rookie QB lost. The team that led at the half by 20 won their game. It all made complete sense. Well, not really:
This was a fun weekend of football. Can 49ers-Falcons and Ravens-Patriots give us the same level of excitement? (Yes and no, respectively. Also, 49ers and Patriots in my gut, Falcons and Ravens in my heart, and 49ers-Ravens in my worst nightmares).
