Soul breeze past the LA Kiss

Getting off to a slow start on offense in their last game, the Soul wasted no time getting on the board with Dan Raudabaugh finding Shaun Kauleinamoku a.k.a SK for a 28-yard touchdown pass four minutes into the game. The Kiss and Soul would trade multiple shots in the first quarter, but the Soul’s defense and high octane offense led them to a 56-33 win over the Kiss.

Raudabaugh threw for 250 yards and six touchdowns and did not throw an interception in the contest. SK had three touchdown receptions in the first half and finished the game with six catches for 96 yards. Darius “Money” Reynolds had another spectacular game with back-to-back games of 10 receptions, 100 yards, and three touchdowns. Reynolds has been a monster out on the field and defenses haven’t been able to stop him.

The Soul won the turnover battle once again, picking off LA Kiss’s Nathan Stanley twice and giving him fits all night long. Tracy Belton had an 18-yard pick-six in the second quarter and it was his fourth interception of the year. Dwayne Hollis also had an interception for the second straight game in a row, being an absolute ballhawk out there.

The Soul improve to 4-1 on the young season and they sit one game of the first place Orlando Predators. They will return home May 9 for a Monday night showdown against the winless Tampa Bay Storm at the Wells Fargo Center and the game can be watched on ESPN3.
