Source says LeBron to Bulls “a done deal.”

But the meetings might not be much more than a formality. The
executive, who did not want to be identified discussing a player who is
not yet a free agent, said he had gathered from discussions with his
fellow N.B.A. executives that James was strongly leaning
toward joining the Bulls in tandem with another free agent, Chris Bosh
of the Toronto Raptors.

NYT – Bulls may be frontrunners in LeBron sweepstakes

Can someone explain to me why LeBron James would want to play in Michael Jordan's shadow? Do you really want the constant comparisons to Jordan? Do you really want to be reminded that Jordan won 6 championships?

Granted, the Bulls have a good, young nucleus. James, Bosh and Derrick Rose would form the newest Big 3 with Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and Taj Gibson serving as role players. The only thing the Bulls lack are a legitimate 2 guard who can knock down open 3s created by double-teams of LBJ and Bosh (Hmm… if only I knew of a veteran shooter with a championship pedigree who fit that description).

The Knicks have already moved on (Bahahahaha!). They're talking with Joe Johnson and Amare Stoudemire.
