It is being reported by WEEI’s John Dennis that the first day of negotiations between the Red Sox and the Cubs about compensation for Epstein did not go well.
According to Dennis’ source, the Sox want prospects as part of the deal and the Cubbies want to just pay cash. I’m sure they will come together and the deal will still get done, but it looks like it hit a hiccup.
