The Red Sox rotation has been a little wonky lately. We had Dice-K taken out in the 5th in his last start with elbow tightness…..we had Clay scratched because of the flu…and then Beckett was being watched because of fatigue.
Well for the week, the Red Sox have announced what the rotation is going to be:
Tonight: Buchholz
Tuesday: Lester
Wednesday: Beckett
Thursday: Lackey
Friday: Matsuzaka
Beckett is pitching on 6 days rest…and given his 125 pitch outing 2 starts ago, that’s a good thing. Dice-K has been moved to the back of the current rotation to give him as much rest as possible. He’s back to throwing and on his regular 5 day schedule. It’ll be interesting to see what we get from Buchholz tonight….wondering if any of the sickness and fatigue is still lingering.
