Kelly Johnson barely had time to unpack his bags from his trade form the Yankees for shortstop Stephen Drew before the Sox went and traded him away once again. Johnson was traded to the Orioles for infielder Jemile Weeks and minor league infielder Ivan De Jesus Jr.
Johnson has now completed the task of playing for every single team in the AL East. Johnson is now also in the position of playing for a team that looks like it will win the AL East and be headed for the playoffs. Johnson said nice things about the Sox and the guys in the clubhouse, but you have to imagine he is pretty excited to be moving from the Sox to the O’s clubhouse.
