Special Teams coverage units have been of concern; Connor Barth has Not.

Brent Bowden had a few shanks Saturday night that sent the sparse Raymond James Stadium crown into a chorus of Boos, and Barrett Ruud wasnt making a play either. That is going to be something Special Teams Coach Richard Bisaccia is going to have to get down quickly because the Bucs cannot afford to go into 2010 without a great defensive weapon that a punter represents. Offensively however, Connor Barth appears to be solidifying his grip on the place kicking job that we won over last season after an equally shaky start in 2009 from that department. First Nugent, a parade of kickers were brought in to button down the position. Matt Bryant was solid as Place Kicker, under 50 yards, but he missed every 50+ yard FG attempt in 2008 and that is not acceptable. Connor Barth is actually thriving in 50+ FG kicks, as evidenced by this nice one vs the Jags Saturday night.
