Tim Wakefield pitched well in today’s start going six and a third but had a no-decision because the Dodgers tied it up in the seventh.
The Sox offense was fueled by the long ball with V-Mart and Youk each going deep. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth Dustin Pedroia hit a walk-off single and drove in Daniel Nava. It was the first walk-off in Pedroia’s MLB career.
The Yankees won today so the Red Sox remain one game out of first place.
