Tonight is Christmas Eve, and this week WWE has pre-taped its episodes of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live, which will be the penultimate episode of Raw in 2018, and the year’s final episode of Smackdown.
Tonight’s edition of Raw will be a Christmas Eve special, and will feature the following according to PWInsider.
Elias defeated Bobby Lashley in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight. Prior to the match, Elias sang a Christmas song to the live crowd, and during the No DQ bout, which saw heavy involvement from Lio Rush, Rush ended up being drenched in egg nog.
In a Raw Tag Team Title match, Chad Gable and Bobby Roode defeated The Revival.
In a Triple Threat match, Finn Balor, who recent reports suggest is scheduled for a big push on the red brand, defeated Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. McIntyre also announced to the live crowd before the match that he has officially entered the 2019 Royal Rumble match.
In six-woman tag team action, Bayley, Ember Moon and Sasha Banks defeated Dana Brooke, Alicia Fox and Mickie James. The Riott Squad hit the ring after the match and attacked the babyfaces.
Paul Heyman cut an in-ring promo promising that Brock Lesnar would retain his WWE Universal Title against Braun Strowman at Royal Rumble, and this prompted Strowman to hit the ring. Strowman antagonized Heyman a bit before forcing him to wear a Santa hat to end the segment. It’s worth noting that Strowman was not wearing his arm in a sling during the segment, which could mean he is close to recovering fully from the elbow surgery which has kept him out of action for the past several weeks.
Ronda Rousey defeated Natalya in a Raw Women’s Title match.
[lawrence-related id=866064]Heath Slater defeated Jinder Mahal when The Singh Brothers interfered. Following the interference, Rhyno came out dressed as Santa Claus and hit The Gore on the heels.
In the main event of the night, Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin.
