On Friday, the San Antonio Spurs announced the broadcasting schedule for the upcoming 2012-2013 NBA season. The Spurs will once again be working with local stations Fox Sports Southwest (FSSW), KENS 5, and the CW35.
For Spurs fans who are used to watching the games on these local networks, the unique commentary of former Spur Sean Elliott and his sidekick Bill Land will be back in action for the coming season.
Along with the TV schedule, radio great Bill Schoening will be calling the games as well on WOAI 1200.
So for those of you who like Elliott's commentary and would rather watch on a local broadcast that's not on a major network, the channels above are the place to watch during the season.
As I watch most road games from home, I think the best part of watching on the local stations are the priceless HEB commercials that usually feature Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker.
The Spurs will tip off the season on KENS on the road against the New Orleans Hornets on October 31with a 7 p.m. start time.
