Spurs not “shopping” Parker and Pop to Manu on being a father

San Antonio Spurs’ point-guard, Tony Parker, has been at the center of many trade rumors recently. There were reports he was offered to New Orleans for Chris Paul, rumors he wanted to play with New York Knicks, and finally Parker saying he wants to remain in San Antonio.  But just because Parker says he wants to remain a Spur does not mean the Spurs will entertain offers for him. The following is from the Ohio News-Herald.com.

The Spurs will listen to offers for guard Tony Parker over the summer, but they are not “shopping” him. He is entering the final year of his contract worth $13.5 million.

Spurs’ guard, Manu Ginobili and wife, recently gave birth to twins, Dante and Nicola.  So what did Spurs’ coach Gregg Popovich have to tell Ginobili on being a father?

“The only thing we’ve told him is, ‘You have no clue how your life is going to change; and double so with twins,’ ” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.
