After winning game 3 in Salt Lake, the Jazz had their backs in the wall coming into San Antonio for game 4.
The Spurs put their foot on the pedal early and played with the same intensity throughout the game, ending the Jazz postseason and capturing the Western Conference Championship with a 109-84 win.
They’ll play whoever wins the Eastern Conference Finals between the Cavaliers and Pistons (2-2) for game one of the NBA Finals next Thursday, June 7 at 8 p.m. CST on ABC.
The Spurs don’t seem to care which team they play in the finals.
“I really don’t care who we play. Detroit, Cleveland, both are very good teams, very physical, and so I really don’t care,” Tony Parker said. “It doesn’t matter. We are going to prepare for both and see what happens.”
The Spurs went 2-0 against the Piston and 0-2 against the Cavs this season, but they lost to the Cavs before they made their late season run.
