Spurs release 09-10 schedule, open against Hornets

The San Antonio Spurs released their 2009-2010 schedule today. They’ll tip off the season with a home opener on Wednesday, October 28 against Chirs Paul, Emeka Okafor and the New Orleans Hornets at 7 p.m on ESPN.

The Spurs biggest test of the early season will be in two games against the Mavericks on the 11th and 18th of November. The Mavs loaded up in the offseason signing Shawn Marion and drafting Rodrigue Beaubois and the Spurs will be looking to exact revenge of their first round playoffs loss, now with Richard Jefferson, Antonio McDyess, DeJuan Blair and other offseason signings.

Here are a few highlights from each month:

Wednesday, October 28 vs. New Orleans
Wednesday, November 18 @ Dallas
Thursday, December 3 vs. Boston
Tuesday, January 12 vs. LA Lakers
Thursday, February 4 @ Portland
Friday, March 26 vs. Cleveland (between Lakers and Celtics games)
Sunday, April 4 @ LA Lakers

The Spurs will have a total of 27 games braodcast nationally on ABC, ESPN, TNT or NBA TV and the annual Rodeo Road Trip will go from February 3-21.
