Ryan Richards, Great Britain fall to Portugal

RRGreat Britain fell in a close game yesterday to Portugal 60 to 57 in the European Under-20 Championships in Sarajevo. San Antonio Spurs’ draftee Ryan Richards and his team struggled in the close game reports Mark Woods of MVP247.com.

San Antonio Spurs draftee Ryan Richards received a lot of attention ahead of the Championships and the 20-year-old forward began well with the first four points of the game.

Cardoso finally ended a prolonged drought to the third from Portugal with a three pointer although Richards – who scored just 2 of his 12 points in the second half – helped keep his side within range.

Richards would go on to finish with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 0 assists, and 1 foul. He was only the third leading scorer on his team. Richards and his team will be looking to get back into action tonight against Finland.
