Back on November 30, I had speculated that the San Antonio Spurs were most likely going to play the Houston Rockets based on geography in their only two preseason games. Well it seems that speculation has become official as the Spurs will indeed be playing the Rockets in two weeks.
According to the Spurs official website, the team will be playing a game in Houston first and one at the AT&T center before the season tips off. Here are the scheduled games.
- San Antonio at Houston, Saturday, December 17 at 7 PM CST
- Houston at San Antonio, Wednesday, December 21 at 7:30 PM CST
At the moment, the Rockets are one of a handful of teams with cap room to make a run at a big-named free agent. So don’t be surprised if Kevin Martin and Luis Scola have another threat for the Spurs to match-up against in two weeks. You also can’t forget that the Spurs will be unveiling their own set of rookies in Kawhi Leonard and Cory Joseph.
