Three Keys:

Set the pace:

The Kings are facing one of the leagues top-tier teams. Sacramento needs to set the pace of the game right from the tip. Point guard Rajon Rondo and Darren Collison would have been looked at heavily in this game but with the Spurs announcing four of their best players staying in San Antonio for rest, it changes everything.

Protect the ball:

The Kings have played reckless basketball thus far and it has resulted in many turnovers. Against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Kings had 23 turnovers and followed that performance last night against the Phoenix Suns with 21 turnovers.

From the point guard position, both Rondo and Collison were not able to control the ball last night. They both finished with five turnovers. The bench in total gave up the ball a total of 12 times throughout the game.

Of course it’s preseason and the sloppy play is to be expected. However, now with today’s game marking the halfway point until regular season play, the Kings need to start correcting their problems.

Feed off the crowd:

Sacramento has been dying to see this revamped roster. The trio of Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, and Rudy Gay has made Kings fans extremely excited for this upcoming season.

The noise level will be as if it was the first game of the season. They (the fans) are ready to see this Kings team start winning.

The players can feed off of this crowd and turn it into a huge bonus on the floor. The fans aren’t called the “sixth man” for no reason.
