In their final episode of the season, Michael and Jeff recap the Spurs first round exit at the hands of the rival Dallas Mavericks. We talk about some of the highlights and lolights of the five-game series and touch on some of the adjustments that should have been made and wonder why Pop gave Drew Gooden the Nazr Mohammed treatment. As you might remember, the last time the Spurs lost a playoff series to the Mavs, Pop played Nazr and Rasho Nesterovic little to no minutes.
On the second half of the show, we bring back Carlos Santiago to update us on some of the other series’ before we take some time to relive the success the Spurs realized in the last decade, spanning four championships and the retirement of arguably the best player in Spurs history. Be sure to listen all the way through the podcast as Jeff has prepared a special treat that should give just about every real Spurs fan chills.
We also took some time out to thank some very special friends, readers, listeners and especially our staff for seeing us through a very special fifth year for Project Spurs and fourth year for the Spurscast.
If you’d like to meet us up close and personal, be sure to register for a free ticket to PodCamp San Antonio on May 16th at the El Tropicano Hotel as Jeff and I will both be attending and speaking. And if you’re in the New York area, we will also be up there the weekend of June 13th for the Blogs With Balls conference.
