St. Louis Magazine Profiles ‘Cardinals Rally Runner’

job

Have you seen the ‘Rally Runner’?

He’s the dude wearing Cardinals gear and red face paint that runs around the outside of Busch Stadium during home games.

Here’s a video:

St. Louis Magazine tracked (chased?) him down recently for their ‘Inside Info‘ section and asked for a little more info.

Here are a few (first person) nuggets from the piece:

  • I never go inside the stadium. I only stay outside.
  • I know I’m a key part in how the Cardinals do.
  • In 2013 and 2014, during the innings I ran, the Cards scored a run every 1.98 innings. While not running, they scored a run every 2.53. The whole purpose was to get the momentum on the Cards’ side while I run. And these stats prove that.
  • A lot of fans know me, but sometimes they don’t know what to think about me. I want to bring fans together. I don’t want it to be about me.

Next time you’re at the game, make sure to say hi. You can go over to his Facebook page for more info.
