The Wild are in the postseason! They actually achieved what they set out to achieve! Naturally, the columnists at the Minneapolis paper are pretty amped up about it. Check out these column titles that the Star Tribune has crapped out in the past month or so.
First, Jim Souhan:
“Silence speaks volumes in heart of Wild playoff race”
“Parise needs to produce plenty of points” (Sub heading: What we will discover this month is whether Zach Parise will be transformative or complementary.)
“Where is Koivu when Wild needs him?”
“Be careful what you wish for, Wild fans” (Sub heading: Playoff hockey’s return to the X will bring hope — and a real threat of more hurt.)
So Souhan is ragging on individual players and forecasting like Mr. T. Pain. Thanks Souhan! I’m just glad Ruesse doesn’t care about hockey. That would be some serious negativity.
