Through the first 43 games of the 2007 campaign, the Boston Red Sox have silenced critics and outperformed almost every expectation. Some expected the team to compete for the division crown and some even expected the Sox to be a World Series threat, but nobody truly believed that this team could get off to such a dashing start. At 30-13, the Red Sox are the first in baseball to 30 wins and lead their division by a huge margin at 10.5 games over second place Baltimore. Combining a pitching staff anchored by the turnaround of Josh Beckett and feel good story of Tim Wakefield, along with a bullpen that features two top relievers and an offense that some believe has yet to hit their full stride, our Sox will be around to stay.
