ST. IGNATIUS HIGH SCHOOL, SAN FRANCISCO, CA — On Saturday, September 20th, 2014, Dell Curry and Stephen Curry held one of their annual basketball camps in the Bay Area.
The day started with a quick word from the father-son duo, and transitioned into various drills and games. A family shooting contest ensued between Stephen and Dell. Steph won bragging rights for the day, as he nailed nearly every shot he took. Stephen also played games of “knock-out” with the campers, and afterwards, he took a second to speak about how special a day like this can be.
“You can definitely teach leadership qualities [and] how to relate to different people [and] different backgrounds.” Stephen said, “These campers, they’re only here for a day and they get to meet new friends and kind of impact each other in little ways and our camp leaders are pushing on that leadership aspect of doing things the right way and being good role models and trying to lead by example which every kid can kind of learn that as well.”
