Word out of practice tonight is that Stephen Flint has quit the USC Gamecocks Football team. He was a fourth year junior that played wide receiver and was a holder on special teams.
Word is he lost interest in playing football and many team members could not convince him to stay on the team. He was a former walkon that got a scholarship last season. Had one start in 2009 and was slated as a backup going into this season.
Hate to hear this news as he was a good guy even if his results only show two catches in his career. And you hate to lose the holder. We wish him the best in the next chapter of his life. Maybe he will have a change of heart and come back?
