Logan absolutely has a point here. He was a first team All-American, two time Conference USA player of the year, I believe he was the Fox Sports Player of the Year. Logan left UC second in scoring, first in 3 pointers made and first in assists. He was passed by Sean Kilpatrick in points last year, Deonta Vaughn broke his assist and 3 pointers made records.
Steve Logan was to go in the UC Hall of Fame a few years ago. A legal issue had that delayed and he has not yet been inducted. He seems to be a slam dunk at some point.
Logan is one of my all time favorites. I think he has a very strong case of having his number 22 in the rafters. To be honest, I’m surprised 22 isn’t already retired. It’s always been weird seeing someone, whether Rashad Bishop or Coreontae DeBerry, wearing the number. It’s Steve Logan’s number.
I don’t know if this will be the catalyst for inclusion in the retired numbers club, but it’s interesting to think about.
